Monthly development drop-in sessions (Grades 2-5)

These monthly drop-in sessions give colleagues a chance to explore learning and development opportunities for colleagues working in roles graded two to five. The session is designed for those in grade two to five roles, but also for colleagues who support them.

When does it run?

Colleagues can drop in anytime between 10am and 12noon every fourth Tuesday of the month - unless this falls on a University closed day. There’s no need to book a place, just turn up on the day.

Where is it?

These drop-in sessions take place in The Wellbeing Hub (formerly the LOGIK Centre). The Wellbeing Hub is located at 5-7 Lifton Place. View the Campus Map or find it on Google Maps. The What3Words are ///comical.mops.barks. The main entrance is located on University Road, accessible from Lifton Place too via the footpath to the left of the building.

What does it cover?

The drop-in sessions will give you chance to meet and chat with colleagues from OD&PL and find out more about opportunities that will support your personal and professional development. We’d also like to find out how we can best support you on your learning and development journey here at Leeds. At the drop-in sessions you can find out more about career planning, maths and English qualifications, digital literacy support, coaching and mentoring, health and wellbeing and team leadership skills.

Become computer confident!

At the same time, we run Computer Confident drop-in sessions for colleagues who are getting familiar with using a computer. These sessions give you the chance to practice logging in, using the keyboard, checking your payslips or exploring LinkedIn Learning. It’s a friendly and welcoming space, with volunteers on hand to support you. There's no need to book – just turn up and the team will be there to help you get started!
