HeadSpace

HeadSpace is a programme that provides leadership support and development for new and established Heads of School, and Institutes. Its purpose and aims are to:

  • Recognise and support the individual and collective leadership responsibilities this community
  • Develop a shared sense of understanding and direction that is relevant to the University’s current and future context
  • Provide a space for questions, suggestions, recommendations and approaches to help you successfully address with the challenges ahead
  • Respond to individual and collective requirements
  • Build a supportive and active community of practice

The programme consists of:

Briefings - Internal University leadership guest speakers sharing; updates, information, current and future implications, consultation, and decision-making that requires their collaborative input and views, followed by an open Q&A session.

Forums - A place to voice issues, thinking, and challenges in small groups. Network, horizon scan, mentoring, and peer support.

HeadSpace - External and internal development support sessions covering in-time topical seminars, webinars, masterclasses.

This community of practice is also supported by facilitated action learning sets and executive coaching.
