Navigator Development Programme for Men (Grades 2-5)

What is Navigator?

The Navigator development programme enables men who work in roles graded two to five to identify the practical and realistic steps that they want to take at work and at home, and then develop the skills and focus to do something about them.

Developed in response to the success of the Springboard programme for women, Navigator has been successfully used by over 7,000 men from all sectors in the world of work. It is delivered to great acclaim, through a specially trained network of licensed trainers.

• Start to make the contacts and support to make things happen

Information session (Friday 13 September 2024)

We are offering an online information session for those who have applied for the programme, providing an opportunity to explore the details and ensure it meets their expectations before fully committing. This session will take place after the application deadline and is designed to give participants a clearer understanding of what the programme entails. The information session will be held on Friday 13 September 2024, from 12noon to 1pm via MS Teams. While the application deadline is 30 August 2024, this event will help you decide if the programme, starting in November, is the right fit for you. To join the session, please email k.e.noll@leeds.ac.uk to receive an invitation.

Programme dates 

The programme is composed of four workshops which will be delivered in two half-day sessions per month.

Meet and Greet (including technical check):

Thursday 14 November 2024, 2.30pm to 3.30pm

Workshop 1:

• Part 1: Wednesday 20 November 2024, 1pm to 5pm
• Part 2: Thursday 21 November 2024, 9am to 1pm

Workshop 2:

• Part 1: Wednesday 11 December 2024, 1pm to 5pm
• Part 2: Thursday 12 December 2024, 9am to 1pm

Workshop 3:

• Part 1: Wednesday 15 January 2025, 1pm to 5pm
• Part 2: Thursday 16 January 2025, 9am to 1pm

Workshop 4:

• Part 1: Wednesday 12 February 2025, 1pm to 5pm
• Part 2: Thursday 13 February 2025, 9am to 1pm

Applications

To apply for the programme you must be able to commit to attending all sessions on the programme and have had a conversation with your line manager to discuss this time away from their regular duties. 

To request a place on the programme please complete the following MS Form, we have a limited number of places available so please do this at your earliest convenience to avoid disappointment. Deadline for applications is Friday 30th August.
