The Supporting Excellence session will help you to understand your role in managing and improving the performance of those within your team. You will gain an understanding of policies, processes and procedures that are in place to assist you through such things as motivation, performance issues, grievance, disciplinary and other aspects of the performance improvement system. This session is delivered in partnership with colleagues from HR and OD&PL.
The objectives of the session are:
- To give you clarity on the University’s processes and highlight good management practices
- Explain the roles and responsibilities of managers and identify ways in which HR can provide help and support
- To explore issues that might arise when managing performance
The session is delivered over a 3-hour virtual workshop, providing an opportunity for discussion, collaboration and insights into how to effectively manage performance.
